We finally got our mission papers off to the bishop. He will review them and send them to the Stake President. We put our availability date as May 1, but we don't know when we will actually be called--let alone where. The picture is our mission picture. It gives a true view of our size and shape.

Bambi Comes For a Visit

Noah and I found this deer hanging out by the clubhouse this afternoon. I guess it was lonely and needed someone to play with. Noah kept asking me if it was one of Santa's reindeer and told me that we can't go play outside or the deer will get us. I just had to laugh and tell him that he was right. At least it saved me a half hour of putting his snow clothes on and then having to take them off again because he needed to use the bathroom. Crazy kids!

Our intention was to have all of the kids in this shot with the snowman. However, Nathan felt strongly that the snowman needed a mouth, and in his zest to give him one he decapitated the snowman. Ainslee started crying and by the time we rebuilt the snowman's head (complete with mouth this time) Rylee, Nate and Carson had moved on to other fun snow activities. So here is Ainslee and our beloved snowman.

Ainslee has finally discovered that snow is not so bad...apparently it even tastes good!

On Wednesday Mom and I went to Yellowstone and took the snowcoach to the Canyon area. It was a nice clear day--well most of the day and we traveled to the Upper and Lower Yellowstone falls. We thought it would be spectacular in the winter, but it wasn't. The snow covered the colorful walls of the canyon and half of the falls was frozen. We saw a few animals, but not as many as when you take the coach to Old Faithful. It also cost $10. more. We highly recommend the Old Faithful trip to anyone interested. But all in all we enjoyed the day and the sunshine.

Mission Papers

We are working on mission papers. There must be 8-10 pages to fill out. They want to know all your medical history, prescriptions, date of birth, time of death, why you only want to serve 12 months instead of 18 or 23, where the body should be shipped etc. We hope to have everything ready to send in by early February. We just want to go somewhere warm in winter and cool in summer and where only English is spoken. We will keep you all informed.

Hello everyone,

Cassie and I just welcomed a new son to our family. His name is William Thomas Miller and he was born at 7:56 AM at Tucson Medical Center. We’re so excited to have him in our family!!! He weighs 8 pounds 1 oz and is 19 ¾ inches long. Both Mom and baby are doing great and everything went well!!! It’s hard to see but he has reddish hair like his sister Maddy. Attached are a few pictures.

Tristen lost at the dice game and had to eat a cupcake without using her hands. Not a bad consequence, eh? Better than cat food, baby formula, or a chewy piece of lard. Yuck! I think we were all a little too easy on Tris!

The aftermath of the cupcake. Tris was a little slow at eating her cupcake, so Tyson shoved her face into it. It all went down from there. From cupcake throwing to poor Taylor getting hit on the head by a water pitcher. This picture says everything, need I say more.

We all had so much fun playing our usual Miller games that we play when we get together, I think this one is Mafia.

Enjoying the Rexburg Fourth of July Parade

Here are just a few of many pictures taken at the parade. The kids had a great time chasing after the candy and loading their bags FULL! Dan and Tristen aka"The BIG KIDS" were right up in front with the little kids getting candy and tossing it back to the parents to enjoy, since we were all to lazy to get out of our comfy chairs. All of the kids did pretty well and all were on a sugar high by the end of the day. The parade had its usual horses, dancers, cheerleaders, tractors, bands, floats, and everything else you can think of, except the CHOCOLATE MILK. Darn those gas prices! All in all everyone had a great time!

Cassie and I found out this week that we're having a baby boy! The 1st ultrasound pic tells us we've got a boy...can you tell? The 2nd is a head shot...nice skull. Maddy is excited to have a baby brother. She keeps on telling us how the baby in her tummy is doing. So, I guess this makes grandchild number 20. I heard a rumor that the 20th grandchild gets 20 dollars from everybody. We will be accepting cash, check, or PayPal. :)

Back from Ireland

Hi All,

Cassie and I got back from Ireland yesterday and now it feels weird to drive on the right hand side of the road. Watch out cars! We had a great time and enjoyed all the green scenery!!! It took me a couple of days to get used to driving on the left hand side of the road (fortunately Cassie was there to scream if I got on the wrong side of the road) but driving it wasn't too bad after a few days, and we ended up driving over 1,000 miles around the country. Here are a couple of pictures... the first couple of images are of Trimm castle (on Braveheart) and the other is of the Cliffs of Moher and Cliffs of Inishmore.

This is Noelle doing a high jump competition in the Sierra Foothill League Championship held at Rocklin High School. She jumped 5feet and her highest she has jumped is between 5 foot 3 - 5 foot 4. She got second place overall and she advances to the section Div.ll. She then made it to masters, which is for people that are really good in the Sacramento area. Good job, Noelle!!!!

Mitsie had her first litter of pups on May 14th. It was a long night but worth it. She had her first one around 1:30 in the morning and finished up with the last one at 7:00 A.M.

She had three baby girls. They are just starting to open their eyes. They're becoming little chubs. :) The girls love to cuddle with them as much as they can. Can you blame them?

Mitsie is a very good Mommy. They keep her very busy. We'll have them up on the 4th of July, so be ready Brett and Heather for Taylor asking to take one home. hee hee They do make great pets, and they don't SHED!

We've made it to Disneyland

Here's some pictures of our trip to Disneyland. We took over 300 pictures and thought I better not post them all. :) Your welcome! The girls loved getting their pictures taken with as many characters as they could. The princesses were their favorite of course. McKenzie thought she was going to get stuck in Pooh Bear's honey and the cars in Toontown were fun to climb on. All the rides were fun but we think Screamer and Soaring Over California were the best. We all had a blast, even Jeff. :)

Hey everyone! Brett back at work after a long and boring weekend in Vegas! Yeah right! David, Paul, Dan, Tristen, Brett and I met in Vegas for the weekend. Brett had a Dental conference that he was supposed to go to. The slot machines were calling our names. You win some and you lose some! We all officially know how to play blackjack. We laid by the pool but not too long because it was upper 80's. We were kind of like vampires and came out at night. Like 1,2,3,even 5 in the morning. We even had fun playing in the kiddie arcades and winning giant stuffed animals. Though a five year old girl finally beat us all. We were slacking in are game a little bit. We all stayed at the Venetian, which we highly recommend! The foods great and the rooms are huge! And were sad to say there were no chickens around. It was a great getaway! We definitely all want to do it again. Whoever can join us next year should! The kids are great, the weather is definitely warmer than Idaho. We're supposed to reach 85 by Thursday. Micah's loving baseball and scouts. Taylor and Alexa are practicing for their dance recitals. Peyton keeps me busy. He's definitely a little firecracker "mine!", "let go!", and "don't!" are his new choice of words! See everyone on the fourth of July! I would post pictures but like I said, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!

I was looking through some old photos and found this one of Mom and Conner playing in the snow and thought it was cute. Mom, thanks for being such a great grandma! I know you have a lot to keep track of, what are you at now 19 and 1 on the way. Wow! I hope you have a wonderful Mother's day. You deserve it! Raising eight kids and keeping everything together, was not easy to do, but you did it. And I think we all turned out fairly well(to say the least), thanks to you! I know we all got the value of hard work(free child labor-ha,ha) from your example. The 6am raspberry pickings will linger in our minds forever and don't let me forget the endless weeding. For all of you who haven't heard the news yet, Cassie and I are expecting in October!!! And no Dad, not a Ferengi. :) We're going to find out in June if it's a boy or girl and are still working on the name (if it's a girl). Cassie has been feeling pretty good and hasn't thrown up on me, which is great. No weird cravings yet. Maddy is excited...we'll she how she does though with competition for toys. She's a lot of fun and her favorite word is yummylicious...we don't know where she learned it and Tristen isn't around so we can't blame her. She's also a good helper around the house. We don't have a dishwasher in our apartment and so I have to do them by hand...I'm counting down the days until Maddy's old enough to start doing them. I passed my comprehensive oral exam this week, which is a relief to have out of the way, and finished my masters...hopefully, I'll be done in a year and a half or two. I liked the pictures of the snow you posted, Lici...I think we hit 90 degrees yesterday.

We had a great time on the island of Kawaui this past week. We went on a boat trip around the island, snorkled, and had lunch. We say dolphins, whales, flying fish and lots of birds. Thank goodness there were no chickens on board to keep us awake. At the condo those chickens were all over the place and liked to start crowing about 3 AM. They do not allow visitors to bring in guns--too bad. There would have been fewer chickens.

This is what I found on the ground this morning. YUCK! It is May 1 and we are still getting lovely snow showers. Got to love the Idaho weather. Hayden was suppose to go on a fieldtrip to the zoo this morning, not happening today. Hopefully next week, it will be nice weather and we'll try it again. Cross your fingers! Mexico is calling my name right about now. Sunshine, a swimming pool, and nachos sound pretty good. Brian and Cassie or LeeAnn and Allen, I hope your enjoying the nice weather where you live.
